Chapter 69
DIANA
I got out of my car and looked around before covering my head with a scarf and walking into the restaurant.
It's a small, quiet restaurant in the countryside. There's a pub on one corner and tables arranged on the other.
I sat at a table as I heard a few people laughing in the pub. I ignored them and sat there with my face covered.
“Excuse me, madam, would you care to order anything?” A young girl, appearing to be a waitress, approached me with a smile.
"I'll have one coffee, no sugar, please." I stated.
"May I assist you with anything further?" she politely asked.
"No, thank you," I replied and dismissed her.
Following her departure, I surveyed my surroundings with a slight frown. This certainly isn't my usual preference, but I had no other option. After some time, the restaurant door opened, and a middle-aged gentleman entered. He, too, seemed uncertain, furrowing his brow at his surroundings.
I waved at him, and noticing me, he came to my table and sat opposite me.
