Chapter 1064
At night, Grace cradled Cliff in her arms, resolutely ignoring Oliver.
Their little boy, who was still so tiny, clung to her like a shadow. Wherever she went, he followed.
Lately, Oliver couldn't help but notice Grace had developed a peculiar new talent—holding a grudge against him. He could take his shirts, for example.
When the maids returned them from the cleaners, wrinkled and crumpled, Grace used to iron them out without a second thought. But now, she left them exactly as they were, hanging untouched in the closet.
Glancing toward the bedroom, Oliver saw her sitting upright, her hair cascading around her tired face. Her head drooped with exhaustion, but she still managed to nurse Cliff.
Oliver picked another freshly ironed shirt from the rack and got dressed.
Before leaving for work, he scooped Cliff into his arms and looked at Grace. She was still drowsy, her expression as if longing for more sleep. He bent down and kissed her forehead.
"I'm heading out," he said so
