Chapter 1069
Halfway through enjoying his bath, Cliff found himself abandoned.
The love for him had shifted elsewhere. Oliver was busy comforting Grace, who was moved to tears, leaving Cliff forgotten in the tub. The unreliable parents hadn't noticed the water's temperature dropping, much to Cliff's dismay.
Frustrated, he let out a loud wail, flailing his arms and legs and sending water splashing everywhere in a desperate bid to reclaim their attention.
And it worked.
When it wasn't about money, Cliff was still Grace's most cherished little treasure. With her eyes still red from crying, Grace rushed to scoop up her wiggly baby.
"Darling, I forgive you," she said, hugging the slippery, plump little boy.
But Cliff wasn't buying it. He shrieked in protest as if accusing Oliver for tossing him aside earlier. If not for the little float supporting him, he might have been drowning by now.
Relieved to have resolved one issue, Oliver decided to interpret his son's protests as a heartfelt fath
