Matteo’’s POV
The blades of the helicopter sliced through the storm clouds like my blazing rage. The rain lashed at my face as I descended from the helicopter through a rope. The whirling sound was loud and deafening, but the beat of my heart was louder.
The rain immediately soaked me. The coldness of the water sliced through the jacket I was wearing, but it didn’t shake me. Not even a flinch.
Darkness was what welcomed me when I landed. I turned the flashlight on as I heard Falcon jumped after me.
I roamed my eyes around. Darkness. Coldness. Isabella is in this place. She’s been here for a few hours. I couldn’t imagine her fear. Thinking about it enrages me even more.
“Clear the perimeter,” Falcon ordered his men as I started walking around.
His steps followed me.
“ISABELLA!” I shouted, my voice thundered, echoing in the forest, louder than the storm.
I walked nonstop, searching through the empty forest like a madman. My heart is racing wild. My thoughts are chaotic.
