Isabella’s POV
He was right. It was my fault that Noah got hurt. I shouldn’t have fought with Daniella. I should’ve talked calmly and settled things patiently. I let my personal feelings get involved. I let my anger towards the Sanchez’s drive my actions. It was my fault, but Matteo is still unreasonable for forbidding Noah to cry.
“I understand my limitation as a nanny, Sir. What I’m trying to tell you is why is it forbidden for Noah to even show emotion? Does being a Moretti require him to be a superhuman? Is it bad that I care about him as a nanny? If it is overstepping, then you’re being unreasonable.”
I could not stop myself. I know I shouldn’t fight back. I know should keep my mouth shut, but I just couldn’t. I can’t stop myself.
Matteo, on the passenger seat, looked at me through the rearview mirror. I can tell from his eyes that he wasn’t happy that I talked back again.
