Chapter 33
Isabella’s POV
The moonlight wasn’t as beautiful tonight as it used to be. The breeze wasn’t as calm as before. The night wasn’t as peaceful as I enjoyed it before. As I find my way out of the hospital, my knees start to wobble. The shaking was too much—showing enough helplessness.
I feel tired. I want to close my eyes. I want to rest. But the situation is not in favor of my body’s cravings. I won’t even sleep a wink even if I force myself.
It was cold and uneasy inside my stomach. I could feel different emotions twisting inside me, barely denied.
“It’s been confirmed, Isabella. The papers were processed and approved a few days ago. Under a subsidiary.”
My breathing hitched as I stared at the man sitting behind the table. I had to beg the personnel assigned to the registry of deeds to assist me tonight with my concern. Good thing he was an old schoolmate.
“Subsidiary?” I couldn’t help but echo his words.
He slowly nodded, looking at the paper in front of him. “Yes. It was under a small
