"Fired? Do people actually get fired just for being late?" Arthur frowned slightly, giving me a puzzled look.
"I think I might be the first," I muttered, lowering my head. "I pissed off my boss, and now everyone in the department's out to get me. One small mistake, and I'm gone."
To be honest, I hadn't wanted to go in at all lately. I could feel everyone in the office targeting me. And Samuel? Ever since I rejected him, he'd been burying me in work, even handing me tasks that had nothing to do with my job. Logistics stuff, too.
