#Chapter 52- Dedication

Fiona POV “As you all know, I strive to acknowledge employees that go above and beyond; employees who are dedicated, hardworking, and not only does their job but performs beyond their duties,” Nolan announces, to the gathered group of people. For the second time, I find myself standing on the side of the stage in near disbelief. I just wanted to do my job. I wasn’t expecting any sort of reward or recognition, but as Nolan talks about how a company is built on the hard work of everyone, not just the leaders, I feel my heart warming. “Fiona, would you join me?” Lifting my head, I turn toward Nolan. He’s motioning for me to come onto the stage. I step up and quickly make my way toward him without looking out at the crowd. No one tells you how uncomfortable it is to walk onto a stage in front of all your coworkers, but it’s insane- especially now that I’ve had to do it twice. That is, until I stop at Nolan’s side and he places a hand on my lower back to move me a little in fr
