Julian reached his hand out to Evelyn.
Without hesitation, Evelyn grabbed it and stood up beside him.
She quietly stayed by his side, her presence calm and steady.
Julian stood tall and straight, his eyes sweeping coldly over Bernard. "I've always been one to settle scores."
"No need to guess—I'm definitely using this chance to get payback. And what can you even do about it, really?"
That last line? It completely lit Bernard's fuse.
Fuming, Bernard lunged at Julian.
But Julian's eyes turned ice-cold. "Go ahead. Try me."
Before he even finished his sentence, Alexander and Jonathan both jumped up, long legs kicking the table straight toward Bernard.
With a loud thud, the table rammed into Bernard's knees.
He groaned in pain and dropped straight to the ground—kneeling right in front of Julian and Evelyn.
Julian looked down at him, face unreadable, voice sharp. "Frustrated? You can stew in it all you want—doesn't change a thing."
Every word was like a blade, cutting deeper into Bernard.
