#Chapter 95 - The Cure
James and I had rushed back to the hospital as fast as when we first heard about the incident. By the time we reached the main desk, I was wheezing and out of breath.
“Mia, for the love of God, please calm down,” James huffed.
Honestly, had I not been pregnant, I would have gotten there faster...Nonetheless, I waited for my breathing to settle before speaking to the receptionist.
“Mia Derek, I’m here because I was notified that my brother has come out of his coma,” I said.
The receptionist paged Dr. Fairmont to meet us.
I couldn’t believe it. All this time, I’d felt like I’d been living in limbo—not having a single idea what was going to happen. All that time I’d been too afraid to hope, knowing I would be left with nothing but ongoing disappointment.
My nerves were frayed and tattered to the point of shaking. I wished and prayed that Chris would wake up and now it was like someone had finally heard me.
Part of me was still in disbelief.
