Chapter 60 Get Rid of It
Anna leaned toward her, smiling with ill intent.
"Dad says you're just a bastard child. You're not even his child at all."
"No way!" Giselle shot back immediately. "If I'm not Samuel's biological daughter, why would he have raised me?"
Giselle stared into Anna's eyes, trying to observe her reaction. 
"Believe it or not, it's up to you. Now go take a shower," Anna said impatiently.
Giselle watched Anna, who showed no sign of shame. 
So she had known about this for a while. Was that why she always called her an illegitimate bastard?
With that thought in mind, Giselle withdrew her gaze and returned to the servant's room where she had previously been staying.
After she left, Betty looked at Anna in surprise. "Mrs. Cobb, she really isn't Mr. Lane's child?"
Anna nodded. "I don't know if it's true. I only overheard it once by accident."
As for whether it was true or not, only her parents would know.
