"Alright, I'll call Britney right now."
Reagan, visibly excited, pulled out his phone, though his fingers hesitated slightly over the dial pad. "Paige… I'd like to take you out for a meal tomorrow…"
Paige, who had kept her head lowered all evening, finally lifted her gaze. She replied coldly, "If this is your way of enticing me into a meal, there's no need. As long as I stay by Hunter's side, it's only a matter of time before I meet Britney. You may leave now."
She opened the door, and the cool corridor breeze swept over Reagan.
He panicked. Only now did he seem to truly realize that the Paige before him was no longer the obedient, submissive woman of three years ago who endured everything quietly.
