I looked at Vivian, who seemed momentarily stunned. However, her smile widened and became even sweeter.
"Come on, honey. Have more fruit. It's good for the babies' skin."
I placed some washed grapes in front of her and peeled one, which I fed her.
She opened her mouth to take it, but there was a flash of surprise in her eyes. "Why are you being so thoughtful today, honey?"
"This is the bare minimum." I spoke dismissively as I brought over a plate filled with golden chunks of mango. "The doctor says that you need to take more vitamins, so I bought mangoes. Try them."
Vivian leaned against the sofa, scrolling on her phone. She commented from time to time as she ate.
I saw her continue eating fruit without any restraint at all. I scoffed inwardly, but outwardly I showed even more concern.
"By the way, I've also ordered cherries. They'll be delivered by tonight, and they're very nutritious."
Vivian's eyes lit up at once. "You're the best, honey!"
