Suddenly, Aria felt a heated gaze boring into her. The moment she looked up, her eyes locked with Frank's, those deep, unreadable eyes darkening even further.
She froze, muttering under her breath, "Shit!"
"This isn't a cafe, you know," Frank said.
She scoffed, lifted her chin, and met his stare head-on. "What's it to you? I came to Tristan's office for a coffee. You got a problem with that?" She clenched her teeth.
"Who would dare?" he replied through clenched teeth. "You're a princess, after all." His eyes didn't waver, watching her with such intensity that it seemed as if he was ready to devour her whole.
Aria didn't back down. "Damn right I'm better than you. At least I'm not some corporate grunt." She spun on her heel. "Disgusting."
Behind her, Frank's voice rang out, "People with guilty consciences tend to make quick escapes."
She halted mid-step. She turned sharply, her gaze sharp enough to cut glass as she glared at Frank. "If anyone's guilty here, it's you!" she snapped
