As the morning light filtered through the curtains, I slowly opened my eyes, vision blurry with sleep. The first thing I registered was a warm, solid wall of muscle directly in front of me. Not fully awake, I blinked several times before realizing I was staring at Caesar's chest.
Panic surged through me as reality crashed in. I pushed against him, creating distance between our bodies. "What are you doing here?" I blurted out.
Caesar's golden eyes widened in surprise, his expression shifting from peaceful contentment to confusion. "Should I not be here? Last night we—"
