Chapter 1743 Teach You a Lesson
Right now, except for the private room they were in, the other rooms on the ship were empty.
Barbara gazed softly at Niall. She was wearing a low-cut dress today, and she was sitting on the floor with her body slightly leaning forward. From Niall's perspective, he could clearly see Barbara's smooth curves.
Her demeanor was charming and alluring. If it were any other men, they might have fallen for her charms.
However, Niall stood up slowly and turned away under Barbara's confused gaze. He approached the staff and said, "Hello, please come and take care of this young lady. She has injured her foot. Please take her to the hospital if necessary."
"Of course." The staff immediately came up and helped Barbara stand.
"Miss, are you okay?" the staff asked with concern.
Barbara looked at Niall in surprise, but he had already turned and walked back to the private room, not even sparing her another glance.
"I ... I just have a little pain in my foot." Barbara had to carry on with the act.
"Then I'll call a doctor to come and check on you. There is a clinic here," the staff suggested.
Barbara's eyes flickered. "Alright, thank you."
"You're welcome."
...
Back inside the private room, Lance's eyes flashed with confusion when he saw Niall returning alone. He discreetly looked behind him but didn't see Barbara returning.
"Darling, try this fish. It's incredibly delicious!" Upon seeing him return, Olivia immediately picked a piece of fish and put it in Niall's bowl.
"Alright. Thank you, my dear." Niall smiled gently.
Margot and Benjamin exchanged a knowing glance and smirked.
Barbara didn't return for the rest of the meal, and Niall behaved as if nothing had happened before, chatting happily with Benjamin and Lance.
Margot continued talking about Rastone with Olivia. Soon, the sky turned dark.
"It's settled then, Mrs. Stark. I'll pick you up tomorrow," Margot said to Olivia.
Olivia nodded. "Yes, I won't forget."
Benjamin snaked an arm around Margot. "Well, Mr. and Mrs. Stark, we'll be taking our leave now. Have a good night!"
"You too!" Niall held his wife's hand and left.
Once they were gone, Lance's expression suddenly darkened, and he narrowed his eyes dangerously at Benjamin and Margot.
Margot said to Benjamin, "I'm tired. Let's go back."
"Sure." Benjamin nodded and put his arm around her waist, heading toward the door.
Suddenly, Lance stood up and glared at Benjamin. "Benjamin, the outcome of this has yet to be decided. But I can tell you one thing! You're losing!"
Benjamin glanced at him silently as if he were looking at a clown. He quickly averted his gaze.
Lance's anger flared up when he noticed that he was being ignored. He took out his phone and dialed Barbara's number. "Where are you?"
Barbara replied softly, "I've gone back to the manor."
Lance gritted his teeth. "You're back home? What about what I asked you to do? Did you completely disregard my words?"
Barbara quickly explained, "No! I did as you told me. But Mr. Stark didn't even look at me, so I couldn't ..."
"You useless woman!" Lance didn't mince his words. "Prepare yourself! I'm coming back now to teach you a lesson!"
