"The south is nourishing indeed. Look at you. You're looking more and more beautiful now," Edith complimented from the bottom of her heart.
Lily had been living a good life after leaving Xavier. Edith lamented how useless Xavier was.
"Edith, you still look as fit as a fiddle."
"I have to be." Edith grinned at her. Then, she signed. "If not, I won't be able to meet my great-grandchildren!"
Lily smiled, then summoned a waitstaff to take their order.
Since she'd been living a secluded life these years, Edith almost never ate out. Thus, she wasn't aware of the dishes available in restaurants.
Fortunately, Lily was familiar with her preferences. So, she ordered a few dishes that were to Edith's liking.
The waitstaff left with the menu, leaving Lily and Edith alone in the booth. All of a sudden, the atmosphere fell silent.
A sense of awkwardness filled Lily. In order to ease the awkwardness, she fiddled with her hair as she kept her head down.
