A ray of sunlight shone through the windows and into the empty villa, falling on Xavier. He advanced toward Lily slowly. She looked down and continued taking measurements of the place. Even though his footsteps were light, she could hear them as crisp as day. He stopped in his tracks behind her, staring at her with a gaze so fervent that it made her back stiffen up. "I—" Lily interrupted, "What are you doing here?" Xavier explained, "Todd said that he had an appointment with you to take measurements of the place, so I came by." Lily thought that he would come up with an excuse to say that it was just a coincidence. Little did she expect that he would be so honest. "Why are you here?" Lily placed the measurement tool aside and recorded the numbers. Without even looking at him, she continued, "I'm really busy."
