Leona's POV
Alia looked at us with confusion. "You know these customers, Sarah?"
"We don't just know each other. We were childhood friends!" Vivan exclaimed.
She licked her lips in excitement, and there was a sardonic smirk on her face.
I was perplexed to see that Vivian's hatred for me wasn't just on the surface. Could it be that she still had a grudge toward me because Max had pursued me?
Damn it! Nothing had ever happened!
"I didn't think you'd become so ugly, Leona," Vivian bit out. "But I'd recognize you even if you turned into a pile of ash!"
Vivian yanked on my hair harder, all the while still acting like an elegant lady. "My dear friend Leona, should I invite you into the room, or can you enter by yourself?"
My expression showed my dismay. I knew clearly that there was no escape. Even if Vivian weren't here, Elara would never let me off easily.
"Your help is unnecessary, Ms. Vivian," I said slowly, extricating her hand from my hair.
