The lingering tension in the hall was still quite palpable, much like the lingering smoke after a fire. The two brothers, although quiet, were glaring at each other as though engaged in a war fighting beneath the skin. One tick and both would burst.
Nope, I wasn’t going to let this invisible war continue, not in front of everyone.
