Chapter 49
Elsie had been on her feet all morning. The shoot was crazy, and she hadn’t even had a sip of water.
Once the director finally yelled “cut,” she stretched her sore back and made her way into the lounge.
Taking the thermos from her assistant, she had one sip and instantly frowned—tasted like plain boiled water. Not even a hint of flavor.
All she could think was: a cup of coffee would hit just right.
And then—
“Mr. Harding’s here!”
Mid-sip, Elsie nearly choked.
Before she could even react, the door swung open. In walked a tall man in a tailored suit, practically glowing like he’d just strode in from a fashion set.
The intern assistant blinked like she'd seen a celebrity. “Mr. Harding?”
William had on a light gray suit, a navy striped tie tied to textbook perfection, and a crisp white pocket square peeking from his jacket. His whole look screamed British gentleman.
He had a faint smile tugging at the corners of his mouth, a calm glint in his eyes. “Surprised?”
The intern’s face turned red
