He just chuckled softly, reached out and ruffled Leslie's hair. "Let's go. Time to head home."
He didn't really care how she learned it all. As long as she stood on his side, that was enough for him.
Walter and Matilda were clearly reluctant to see them go.
Once the kids left, the big, old house fell quiet again.
Leslie pulled Felicia aside and said, "If anything happens at the house, call me or Broderick right away. And if Frank stops by, keep me in the loop."
Frank and the elders had been friends for over two decades. Now that Lillian was behind bars, if Frank bore a grudge, it wouldn't be surprising.
But whether he'd actually do something harmful to the elders... that was uncertain.
