Chapter 91
The reason for that was that Heidi did her best in every single matter, ensuring that she left absolutely no stain in Maverick's circles.
After applying the plasters, Maverick stroked Heidi's ankles with his thumbs. "We'll be going out to sea at nine tomorrow morning. I've also checked all the diving equipment."
He continued, "We are taking a boat out to that deserted island. The water is clearer than the public beaches over here, and we will be able to see turtles too."
"Okay."
Heidi pulled her feet back and wiggled under the covers, turning her back to him. "Turn the lights off. I'm sleepy."
After washing up, Maverick returned to the room and turned off the lights. Then, he lay down behind her.
The breathing of the person next to him eventually turned steady and long. Heidi had fallen asleep. Sleep came fast for her. It was as if she could cut off all contact with this world speedily as long as she decided to ignore him.
Maverick, on the other hand, couldn't fall asleep.
