Vivian waited for about half an hour, but Kingston never responded, which only confirmed her suspicions. Then again, it made sense.
She didn't bother sending him another message. She set her phone aside and went straight to bed.
Without Kingston interrupting her, her mind no longer churned with messy thoughts about Logan, and she drifted off to sleep quickly.
The next morning, Vivian got up and went through her routine. Logan's call came through.
She glanced at the screen and answered.
"Vivi, I got drunk last night. I didn't do anything out of line, did I?"
He had woken up to find Sloane lying next to him and broke into a cold sweat. He had drunk a little too much last night, and parts of his memory were hazy. All he remembered was that he and Vivian had seen Kingston off. The rest was a blur.
Vivian replied, "Who knows? I can't be watching you every second, can I? Why don't you call someone else and ask?"
