Sophia froze for a moment after hearing my words. I can imagine her expression shifting into something between amusement and disbelief.
"I'll agree to it," she said. "If you don't trust me, we can draft a written contract."
I chuckled in response. "Even blood brothers keep things in writing. You're my ex-wife—of course, we need a contract. Have it ready ahead of time. I'll sign it once I'm back in North District."
She let out a sharp, mocking laugh. "Joshua, you never cease to amaze me."
"Appreciate the compliment. Gotta go," I said casually, then hung up before she could say anything else.
When I turned around, Joanna, Juliette, and Jayden were staring at me with expectant eyes. Clearly, they were curious about the call.
I didn't see any reason in hiding it, so I just told them straight.
Their reactions varied. Joanna seemed thoughtful, but Juliette was already fuming.
"No way!" she exclaimed. "Why should you give her your vote? Sophia is a venomous woman—she deserves to rot!
