Sean didn't know Zoey and had no idea that he'd been exposed. After he left, Zoey called in her assistant, Maisie Wren. "Find out where he lives and who he's with," she ordered. Maisie nodded and started to leave, but Zoey stopped her. "Are there still no leads on that boy?" When Zoey was nine, her enemies framed her, leading to her abduction. Traffickers had taken her to a remote mountain village, surrounded by miles of impassable wilderness. Escape seemed impossible. Just when she thought that she'd be trapped there forever, a boy named Jack Coleman saved her. He led her down an unfamiliar path and pressed a few hard cornbreads into her hands.
