Ethan Hunt kept thinking about how Emma Grace had flared up at him earlier. His expression grew darker by the second, and a low curse slipped out of his mouth. “Shit.”
Right as the word fell, the marketing director dropped his pen in a panic. He had already been walking on eggshells during the report, and the sudden outburst from Ethan, along with the chill in the room, made his hand tremble.
Ethan shot a cold, sharp glance at him. The director flinched again and scrambled to pick up the pen. “S-Sorry, sir.”
“This is your marketing plan for next month? Redo it,” Ethan snapped, letting out his anger on him.
The rest of the room collectively held their breath, everyone silently praying they wouldn't be next. Even watching the director get chewed out was enough to make them nervous.
“And these,” Ethan said, shoving a pile of documents forward impatiently. “Take them all back. Fix everything. I want the new versions on my desk before the end of the day.”
