On the day of the wedding between the Robertson and Schuman families, the venue was packed with guests. In the lively banquet hall, people whispered among themselves as they waited for the bride and groom to arrive.
Inside the lounge, Benedict stood in front of a full-length mirror, carefully adjusting his suit. He stared at his reflection and, for a moment, felt dazed. In the end, he was getting married but not to the woman he loved. The thought cast a brief shadow across his eyes.
Just then, a knock came at the door. "Mr. Robertson, the ceremony is about to begin."
Benedict paused before replying, "I'm coming."
In the center of the stage, which had been decorated with baby's breath and roses, Benedict stood facing the grand entrance as the doors slowly opened. A bride in a flowing white dress began to walk down the aisle, her train trailing elegantly behind her. A long veil covered her delicate features.
