Shonna looked at Albert in surprise. "Have you already eaten?" she asked.
"Yeah," Albert replied casually. "I probably got off work a little earlier than you. This portion hasn’t been touched, and it’s still warm. Instead of cooking when you get home, why not just take this and eat it?" Without waiting for her response, he placed the bag in Shonna's hand. "You’ve been working hard all day. Skipping meals isn’t good for your stomach, Ms. Woodham. You wouldn’t want to start having health issues at such a young age, would you?"
Shonna had no reason to refuse. After all, cooking at home would mean washing dishes too, and as a doctor who often worked shifts, convenience was appealing.
"Thank you for your kindness, Mr. Sitwell," she said, accepting the bag and walking into the building with him.
