I took the phone and said, "Hey, Conrad." "Chris told me what happened. Are you okay?" Conrad sounded worried. "I'm good, but I might be a bit of a hassle for you," I said politely as I usually did with him. There was a short pause on the other end. "Just relax and make yourself at home. You're safe here." "Okay." I didn't say anything else. Normally, Conrad would have wrapped up the call right there, but he added, "Don't worry. You're safe." I wasn't so sure about that. Harlan had his eyes on me. I knew I wouldn't find peace with him still out there unless Brandon and the others could finally take him down for good. But I kept those thoughts to myself and just hummed in response. "Just call me if you need anything. Oh, and a housekeeper will stop by to cook and clean," Conrad said before hanging up. I handed the phone back to Chris. He took it and said, "Conrad probably has some extra phones here. You can grab one to use later." Not having a phone was definitely a hassle. Pl
