Chapter 549

Joey and Queenie left Mia's room in a rage. "We never should have come, Joey! Mia doesn't deserve our pity or compassion!" Queenie was fuming, her chest rising and falling rapidly. She would have argued with Mia had the latter's hysterical shouting not threatened to tear her sutures. Joey regretted her decision as well. As a fellow victim, she thought the grave incident from last night might have enlightened Mia. Unfortunately, Mia was so caught up in getting her brother a house that she refused to let go of the Atkinsons. What did she hope to accomplish anyway? "There's no point getting angry over this. She's not worth it," Joey comforted as she pressed the elevator button to take them downstairs. In truth, she was so furious that an intense roaring filled her ears, but she had to stay calm. She refused to get worked up over a fool like Mia. Queenie understood this as well. They made their way downstairs and wasted no time getting out of the hospital building for some fresh air.
