He was always so meticulous.
"What else has he arranged? You can tell me all at once."
The tone sounded off, and Kieran immediately shook his head, "Nothing else, really nothing else."
Callie didn't press further.
The hospital had a separate floor with dedicated guards. Even Callie needed Anthony to personally escort her inside. He assured her, "Don't worry, not even a mosquito will get in."
Callie hurriedly asked, "Where's the ward?"
"At the end of the corridor."
She was eager to see Reuben, but as she reached the ward's door, her steps faltered, and she hesitated to go in.
Anthony was puzzled, "What's wrong..."
After more than two years of neglect, she was clearly not a good daughter. Now, seeing him again, she didn't know how to face Reuben.
The closer she got to home, the more apprehensive she felt.
