Callie simply stared at him. "It's too dangerous, Nelson. You don't have to take the fall for me."
Nelson raised her trembling hand, still gripping the gun. "Are you hurt?"
She shook her head. "No, but those two patrolmen haven’t returned. We might be exposed soon."
A knock came from outside. "Dylan, are you ready? We're all waiting on you."
Nelson frowned. He adjusted the badge on his collar, making sure it was secure. When he boarded the ship, he had knocked out a guard and swapped into the man’s uniform.
"Coming," he replied.
As he pulled his mask down and lowered the brim of his cap, he handed Callie a small device. "I’ll stay on this ship tonight. This is a signal transmitter. If anything happens, contact me immediately."
Callie felt the hard object pressed into her palm. Her brows remained furrowed as she grabbed Nelson’s arm. "Are you sure about this?"
