Upon hearing this, Callie hesitated. "Alright, I can go."
Regan nodded. "I’ll make the arrangements."
Sienna, her voice gentle yet commanding, added, "Keep a close eye on Callie while outside. The current state of Ylosea isn’t favorable for her."
"I understand, Mother," Regan replied.
Sienna patted Callie’s hand resting on her lap, offering a comforting smile. "Don’t be too nervous. I believe you can handle it."
Callie didn’t respond. She felt as though she lived in a grand gilded cage—protected, cared for, but she was no caged bird.
Isaac, muttering under his breath, looked unconvinced. "I don’t know what you’re thinking."
Regan glanced sharply at him, unfazed.
Ahmad, observing the exchange, tapped his chopsticks against the rim of his bowl. "You two have been through so much. It’s good if you can make it work. But if things don’t, no one will force you. Divorce is always an option."
His words were blunt and unwavering.
