Sienna’s expression was stern. “Ahmad doesn’t know about this yet. If he did, he wouldn’t be as reasonable as I am. You’d better think carefully.”
It was rare to hear Sienna threaten someone.
Callie sneered, gripping Grape’s small hand tightly. “Saying things like that in front of the police, Mrs. Ellison—are you out of your mind?”
Dylan and Malachi exchanged uneasy glances. Now, leaving or staying had both become problematic.
“You’re the one who’s lost her mind.” Sienna glanced at Grape again, her gaze complex but undeniably angry. “I’ll say it one more time: don’t make things difficult for the authorities. Let’s find a place to talk.”
Callie didn’t see the need for a discussion, but with so many onlookers, it was hard to back down gracefully.
Anthony, accustomed to handling tricky situations, lowered his head slightly and said to Callie, “I’ll take Grape home. As long as Mr. O’Connor is around, this matter isn’t urgent. Don’t worry.”
