Callie snatched his phone fiercely. "Don't call him, I have nothing to do with him!"
Before she finished speaking, she felt a heavy blow to the back of her head and fell into a familiar, warm embrace.
A man's deep voice sounded above her. "You can leave now."
Bridger chuckled as he took back his phone, thinking to himself that his friend had lost completely.
Callie, drunk and squinting, looked at the newcomer. Despite his grim expression, she said, "You're here."
Nelson bent down and carried her to the VIP room, suppressing his frustration and wishing he could splash water on her to wake her up.
The soft woman moved slightly and mumbled mockingly, "I forgot, this place is yours."
In a soft voice, she asked, "Do you look down on me?"
Nelson slapped away her flailing hand and threw her onto the soft bed. Without a word, he walked into the bathroom, skillfully pulled out a clean towel, wet it with hot water, and returned to wipe her face gently.
