Izaak grinned in amusement. He pressed his thumb over her lower lip and murmured, "You learned some nasty words while I was gone."
Gabriella smacked his hand away violently. "Don't touch me, jerk," she cried out, a bit disgusted.
Izaak let out a threatening laugh, sensing Gabriella's displeasure. She certainly wasn’t joking around.
“I’ve been waiting for you to come back,” she recounted with a hint of bitterness.
With apathy, she took out the divorce agreement and handed it to Izaak. "We should talk about the divorce."
Izaak's muscles tensed up in a panic, but his face remained calm and quiet. He expected this to happen, but he had reasons for not contacting her.
He was physically unable to contact her because he was drunk and dazed for months, then ill for another.
“We’ve talked about this before. I don’t care if you curse me out, beat me up, I don’t care," sternly, he professed. "I won’t divorce you. Never.”
