The path was lonely and windy, but I knew my destination was not so far anymore. Thick trees lined the narrow road, and the path was deserted. It felt weird that there was a group of people that lived this far away from the central pack, and what was worse was that it was filled with the old men and women.
My legs were slowly growing heavy as I trudged the path, my mind still a mess of the earlier incident. I shook my head, pitying myself. Daemon was hoping to do the impossible, and I couldn't help him because... I just couldn't.
I sighed as I reached my destination. Rows of huts were lined as I turned towards the curve of the road. Each hut has smoke rising from it. When was the last time I came here? I was sure I was barely five years old, but I remembered that there was a place like this. I wasn't let out of the house, and the few times I went out with my parents, I made sure to cherish those memories.
