Liora's POV
Eyes kept flicking our way, sliding between me and Adrian like we were a sideshow.
Public confessions had happened a few times back in school, but after marrying Ethan, moments like this had never happened again.
I was caught off guard and refused without a second thought. "Thank you for liking me, but I'm married."
Right. I was already married.
The color drained from Adrian's face, his tone sharp with suspicion. "Why? I don't believe that, Liora. You look so young and beautiful. Are you just saying that because you're not interested in me?"
