Damn, I really hated myself right now.
And I hated Alpha Enzo—hated the way he always played mind games like it was a sport.

It looked so empty, like it wasn't nearly enough to say just how disgusted I was.
I stared at my screen, then wiped the message.
No point. I dropped my phone onto the bed and just lay there, staring at the ceiling, soaked in shadows and regret.
After a while, I dragged myself up.
My whole body felt like it was filled with sand.
The digital clock blinked 5:00 am—Saturday morning, and for once, no classes, no rehearsals, no nothing.
I went to the bathroom, letting hot water rain down my back in the shower, muscles tense and sore for way too many reasons.
