The words sliced through the air like ice-cold blades.
For a horrible moment, I thought Noah was talking to me, rejecting me completely.
But then his gaze shifted fully to Alpha Sherman, burning with such intense hatred that I nearly stepped back.
I let out a breath I didn't realize I'd been holding.
The relief was short-lived as Keal, my wolf, whimpered inside me.
She felt our packmate's rejection like a physical wound.
