Silvia The past three days have been a blur. It wasn't until yesterday that Noah finally stopped protesting so strongly. Reluctantly agreed to let me stay in his hospital room. He even accepted the extra bed Alpha Sherman had arranged through the hospital staff. Despite this small progress, the tension in the room hadn't dissipated. Noah's answer was brief and harsh. The squinting eyes and the way he clenched his jaw whenever the name Alpha Sherman was mentioned. Everything about him clearly showed his displeasure. I went back to his room that day. His first question hit me like an icy wind."If I asked you not to marry Alpha Sherman , would you listen?" The question made my wolf, Keal, whimper inside me. I hesitated, watching my brother's hazel eyes search my face for the truth, desperately trying to find an appropriate answer. Finally, I gave him a gentle smile, shook my head, and whispered, "I know you wouldn't be cruel enough to ask that of me." I knew I was manipulating his emotion
