Bernice’s POV
How could they treat this like it wasn’t a big deal? Her own family.
I had to keep chewing on my bottom lip to keep from screaming out in frustration. I turned away from Landy, muttering that I needed air before losing my mind. He didn’t stop me from leaving. But he would have if he knew where I was actually going.
As soon as I ran outside, I shifted into my wolf. Julia broke free from me, her snow-white fur glistening under the rays of the sunlight. We ran as fast as lightning; just a white cloud blurred in the vision of those we passed.
We were soon engulfed in the woods. The trees that passed us were nothing more than distorted figures.
I wanted to avenge Tina’s death more than anything. But I also wanted to prove that I wasn’t a weak omega that Landry seems to think I am. He has it in his head that he must protect me at all costs.
