Chapter 95 XENOIS After about twenty minutes of watching the boys enthusiastically explain every book, game, and art supply they'd brought, I caught Dmitri's eye and tilted my head toward the suite's main room. He nodded subtly, and Sloane picked up on the signal as well. "Hey, Celeste?" I said quietly, touching her shoulder. "Can you stay with the boys for a bit? We need to talk strategy." She looked up at me, understanding immediately that this was business we didn't want the children overhearing. "Of course. Take your time." I leaned down and kissed the top of her head—still getting used to these casual displays of affection but finding I liked them—before following Dmitri and Sloane out into the main suite. We moved to the far corner, near the windows with the blackout curtains still drawn, putting as much distance as possible between us and the bedroom where Tommy and the boys were talking. "So," I said quietly, crossing my arms. "Give me the full picture. What's really going on?"
