Logan’s POV:
The night after the shooting attempt, I sat in my office, the city lights flickering faintly through the tall glass windows. The echo of the gunshot still rang in my ears, and every time I closed my eyes, I saw Haley’s frightened face, her body almost collapsing into mine.
I clenched my jaw and slammed my fist on the desk. No more. I won’t let this happen again.
The door opened quietly, and Ethan stepped in, holding a thick file and his laptop tucked under one arm. He looked serious, as always, but there was a hint of unease in his eyes.
“Boss,” he said carefully. “We’ve collected all available footage near the venue. I thought you’d want to see it.”
“Show me,” I ordered, my voice sharper than I intended.
Ethan placed the laptop on my desk, opened it, and began pulling up clips from different angles. Security cameras, traffic feeds, even shaky footage from fans who had posted online.
I leaned forward, my hand tightening around the edge of the desk.
“Slow it down,” I mutter
