DEREK’S POV
The clash of steel and the sound of bodies hitting the ground reached me long before I saw them. I stood at the edge of the mist-covered clearing, silent, my wolf prowling just beneath the surface as I watched.
Draven’s men.
Two of them—broad-shouldered, brutal, precise. Their movements were sharp, practiced, perfected over years of blood and discipline. One wielded a blade with the grace of a predator, the other tore through enemies with nothing but his fists, bone crunching under the force.
I narrowed my eyes.
So these are Draven’s dogs.
Even from a distance, I could feel their strength humming in the air. Skilled—no, lethal. Warriors like these didn’t just protect, they destroyed. I could see why Draven trusted them with his precious little daughter’s safety.
