He exhaled sharply. “We’re true mates, Olivia. How can you stand there and say that I betrayed you—?”
“Didn’t you?!” My voice cracked like a whip, stopping him in his tracks. “You kept me by your side because you thought I bore the Phoenix Mark. You made me your Luna for status, not for love. And you dare question me?”
He shook his head, but I kept going. I needed him to hear it all.
“Then your precious childhood sweetheart returned, and suddenly—poof! I was no longer good enough. No longer needed. Everything I did, everything I endured for this pack, for you… meant nothing.
