Elaine really didn't expect he'd be so persistent. Did he really think she wouldn't dare do anything to him?
"If you keep pushing, I might just have to silence you forever," she said, narrowing her eyes in mock annoyance.
Philip didn't seem the least bit fazed. He just kept looking at her with those gentle eyes of his, and honestly, Elaine started to feel a bit flustered. She couldn't even meet his gaze, worried she might drown in it.
She gave in. "You go ahead and pay your respects. I'll wait down here. We need to talk."

"Let's find another spot," Elaine said after a brief pause. This place definitely didn't feel right.
