Chapter 279
"Man, it's been years since we had a good drink together."
Milton was already choking on the strong smell of alcohol coming off Joshua. He didn't want him that close and kept trying to push him off, but Joshua just wouldn't let go, his arm tightly wrapped around Milton's shoulder. He even sounded a little annoyed as he said, "Why do you always look at me like I owe you something?"
"You're not going home with Marcus tonight, right? Just crash at my place," Joshua went on rambling. "I've got a huge bed, comfy as hell, I swear."
"Back off," Milton snapped, finally shoving him hard.
Joshua stumbled and nearly fell over—his assistant barely managed to steady him.
Milton let out a frustrated breath and straightened his shirt, trying not to look at the curious eyes on him. But he could feel Elaine and the others staring.
Still, Joshua clung to him like a moth to light. "Milton, don't be like that, come on."
"We were so tight back then, weren't we? Practically inseparable."
And there it was.
