“Uncle Thomas, can we have a word in private?” Oliver suddenly turned to Thomas Evans.
Thomas nodded and made a gesture, “This way, please.”
The two walked into Thomas’s office one after another. Lucas wanted to follow, but the door shut him out.
Even though Oliver hadn’t actually solved their crisis yet, Thomas no longer saw him as just some regular high school kid. He had a feeling Oliver could figure this out—otherwise, why ask to talk alone?
“If you have any conditions, just name them. I’ll do what I can to meet them,” Thomas came straight out with the offer.
Oliver didn’t beat around the bush. “I only have one condition.”
“I’ll help out—and I’ll have others assist me too. But you can’t tell a soul about this. Not even your son.”
“I’m just a student,” Oliver looked him in the eyes. “You get what I’m saying, right?”
“I get it.” Thomas agreed instantly. “I’ll stake the whole company on your word.”
